京都市バス5系統は、京都駅前バス停－岩倉操車場前バス停間の路線です。運賃均一系統。四条通経由と五条通経由で少し停留所（バス停）に違があるので注意が必要。

繁華街の河原町、岡崎（平安神宮・京都市美術館）、一乗寺（詩仙堂・圓光寺）、修学院（修学院離宮・曼殊院）、宝ヶ池・岩倉方面へ行くのに便利です。
